I’m not sure if it was off season or what but in both Malaga, Spain, and Morocco (Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaouen) I barely saw tourist. In Malaga it was a struggle to find someone who spoke English. I tried to ask a waiter if they accept cards and they couldn’t understand me so I had to point to the credit card machine which was broken. . . .
In Morocco, our tour guide took us to three different cities, we walked around with the people in the small narrow city streets, and near people’s homes. The narrow paths were crowded with people from the town not tourist. I’m still wondering why.
